Hello! I am Lyon the lion. I am an African lion from the Sahara Desert.
I have a thick mane and a tawny coat colour. My roars are very loud and people are afraid of me. I like to eat raw meat. My master always gets me generous portions, especially when I do well during my performance at the circus show.
I spend a lot of time training of how to do my bit at the show. I have to do different things when the master tells me to do them. Sometimes he tells me to walk, sometimes to sit down, roll, lye down, climb on stools and other similar tasks. I am very good at them. My master uses a whip to show me what to do next. The whip makes a very loud noise. He whips the floor or the cage walls, but never whips me. My master really likes me.
When I'm not performing or training, I stay in my cage. It is not very big, but comfortable enough. My cage has wheels underneath it, because when we are moving from one city to another, my master hooks my cage to the back of his lorry to carry me with him.
I am a happy lion. My master tries to keep me happy all the time. He cleans my cage everyday and gives me enough food and drink. I would never dream of hurting anyone, although if I get hungry I lose a bit my temper.
